Leaving from Waco we passed our halfway mark. We drove through Texas for what felt like an eternity, a solid eleven hours. To my surprise I saw more wind turbines during this drive than I ever would have expected, as far as the eye could see. At one point we drove for a straight hour surrounded on both sides by these wind turbines. Once we were through that our drive became filled with overwhelming views of nature. We could tell we were getting close by the changing rock colors as well as a shift in flora. Red and orange rocks filled our window views. Upon our arrival we instantly noticed all of the adobe houses, they were all simply stunning. So many of the adobe houses were scattered across the earth unlike a typical suburban street.
After a long trip we were happy to reach our Airbnb, look at this lovely entrance...This unit ended up being one of our favorite places that we stayed in.
The next day we went into town to explore what Santa Fe had to offer.
This next few images are in the Santa Fe Plaza, the heart of Santa Fe
Couldn't pass up taking a shot of this old Chevy. Wish I had gotten the front though...
After eating some lunch we headed over to the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum. Below are some of the work that I thought was most interesting.
At some point we were ready to explore outside the main hub of Santa Fe. We decided to simply drive around for the rest of the night.
The views, atmosphere, and roads all made for a memorable experience. Lighting was just right, the type of lighting that makes you realize just how beautiful this world can be.
Here I am atop of a wall.
It was so I could get this shot...
We returned to our Airbnb before packing up and moving on to the next place.
The entrance was too nice to pass up this shot, I swear we will be back here!
Our next stop...Colorado. Stay tuned.
